As an agile partner in the paperboard packaging industry, Solon, Ohio-based CardPak® has a long history of developing eco-friendly packaging for some of the biggest names in retail and product manufacturing—including Procter & Gamble, Disney, Wal-Mart, Lowe’s and Target.
While CardPak has excelled at packaging products for other companies, it needed a unique way for its sales team to showcase the CardPak brand and demonstrate a variety of its consumer packaging solutions. CardPak wanted the promotional packaging to feature a range of products, coatings and services, and to provide customers and prospects with key information.
“Brand recognition is a number one priority with CardPak. This promotional piece had to reflect our brand and wow the target audience with several product offerings to promote out-of-the-box thinking and cross-market selling,” said Cheryl Browsky, Marketing Manager, CardPak.
CardPak turned to The Design Edge for creative guidance in developing the corporate branding and graphic image of its promotional materials. Together, we developed a distinctive three-piece promotional package highlighting CardPak’s strength of performance on the outside paperboard sleeve, with a custom engineered pillow pack and blister card inside. The objective was to keep the trio of packaging and messaging simple yet impactful, while also visually supporting CardPak’s commitment to sustainability.
CardPak introduced the new promotional packaging at Pack Expo in Chicago, receiving rave reviews from its sales force and show attendees.
“Our promotional package is creatively designed to generate further discussion, which proved to be very effective at the recent trade show,” said Browsky. “We’ll also use it to further promote CardPak with current customers and prospects, and feature it at upcoming tradeshows throughout the year. Both the construction of it and graphics perfectly demonstrate CardPak’s capabilities.”
